My practice is my secret love affair with myself.
With the help of yoga I learned to love myself and my body.
The same body I always neglected, abused and precieved as an enemy.
Then, with yoga came peace.
I learned to trust my heart and I discovered more and more how strong I could be.
My mat is the only place where I feel confident enough to admit that
I am stronger than what I usually think. It is the place where I am not afraid to be myself.
When I practice I find strength.
That vulnerable feeling to fall apart which I was to afraid to share with anybody no longer scares me!
My practice slowly teached me that is OK to show that
I am just a human too. And that I am probably as much of a student of life and yoga just as You are.
I am no healer and I cannot make you feel better.
But I can keep opening doors, putting you in difficult situations that challenge you physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Being a student of life and yoga is my work and practice.
Yoga to guides me more gracefully through each day and moment.
So if you are feeling better after a class, thank yourself. It is all about you. You stepped on your mat, on this path.
You are teaching me how to be a good teacher and a better version of myself.
And that I can express Yoga through me and my experiences.
Love, Szonja
